Are You Alright?

M8 prologue part 1.

I can't do this. I'm not strong. I'll just be a burden. Lullaby walks deeper into the forest, her head clouded with negative thoughts. The fight for Tao was coming up soon but what could this one vulpix do? She was not blessed with strength or smarts like the many other pokemon. How could she bring down such vicious pokemon who were set to kill. Could she kill them herself or would she hesitate? Lullaby stopped in her tracks. What if she did hesitate and that moment of cowardness ended anothers life? Her life? Her eyes filled with tears. She couldn't do this....she was scared.

A sudden loud cry snapped Lullaby her out of her thoughts and made her jump. Her head whipped around to where she heard the noise. Was someone injured over there? She brought a shaky leg forward and began to walk towards the sound. Peeking about a tree, the Vulpix saw something that made her eyes go wide, her body almost instantly readying itself to bolt. A zorua was lying agianst the large roots of a tree. Just as Lullaby was going to flee the zorua let out another cry. Lullaby looked back at the zoura. It was tiny. She was sure it wasn't normal. Was it sick? She took a couple small steps towards it and sniffed. She could smell blood.

The zorua let out a small whimper. It sounded pained. Lullaby crepped closer to the small zorua. It seemed to be just a child. Certaintly she had no reason to fear it. As Lullaby got closer the zorua opened it's eyes and lifted its head a little. Lullaby fliched back but proceeded to get closer when she saw the sad look in the child eyes. The zorua sniffed at Lullaby and bumped her nose. Lullaby reassured the child with a small bump of her own and finally said

"Are you alright?"
